Abstract
:
The current study examined Doctors use the King Fahd Hospital of the Armed Forces in Jeddah to electronic sources of information in order to identify the extent and size of their use of these resources representing medical databases on CD-ROM and the Internet, in addition to identifying the physicians motives for use of these sources, and the difficulties they face in such use. The findings through the study sample that came from doctors, King Fahd Hospital of the Armed Forces in Jeddah, highlighted that the Internet has become indispensable for doctors to pursue new developments in the field of medicine, and the majority of doctors are using medical databases on CD-ROM. The study recommended the need for marketing for hospital library and information services provided by, and the necessity of activating the role to encourage doctors to prepare scientific research..(Translated by: Sara Nasser Al_Shafie)
