Abstract
:
The objective of this study is to examine the natural resources role on GDP on one side, and to know the contribution of the growth of natural resources on economics growth on the other side. The study has been applied on Saudi Arabia economics since 1975 up to 2005. The researcher has used six functions, four of which is linear and two logarithmic according to following: At linear function (1) the researcher depend on the total value of natural resources. At linear function (2) the researcher has refuted constituents of natural resources soley, and also the same thing for No (3) and (4) linear functions, that is to verify and identify the contribution of natural resources to GDP. Equation (5) was directed to know the relation between the growth of natural resources and the growth of GDP. For equation (6) it was interested by the relation between the growth of each constituent of natural resources and the growth of GDP. After analysising the results, the researcher concluded that regression models of linear and logarithmic by using the total natural resources value had achieved a positive relation with a high significant. And for the regression models of linear and logarithmic of natural resources separately. The analysis of the results showed that there is a strong relation with high significant for sectors of crude oil and natural gas, but the sectors of agriculture, forests, fishy, and mining activities it is not like that . Finaly the researcher recommended in this study for sectors of agriculture , forests, fishy, and mining activities to go on utilization these sectors and on industries depending on it, and to find a foreign markets, which has the ability to absorb the surplus of these resources production .
