Abstract : The objective of this study – which was conducted in two phases – was to survey all Charity Organizations in Saudi Arabia. Specifically, we looked at their managerial practices, how they raise funds, and how they are spending them ( utilization ). In addition, we tried to find out the views of the donors and/or sponsors, as well as the recipients ( the beneficiaries ) towards these charity organizations. The first phase of the study covered the "Literature Review". We tried to look at all studies, references, and articles that were available which relate to Charity Organizations. We classified the findings into 5 categories or group : The First Group : Articles that relate to concepts, goals, and importance of charity work. In addition, in this group, we looked at how charity organizations attract volunteers to assist them in their activities. The Second Group : Articles that covered the current role(s) that charity organizations play in curing social, economic, and medical problems. The Third Group : Articles that looked at the sources of income for charity organizations, and how they are raising funds. The Fourth Group : The role of Government Agencies, and the private sector in supporting charity organizations. The Fifth Group : The challenges that are facing charity organizations in Saudi Arabia, and the strategies that can be utilized to overcome them. In the Second Phase of the study 3 questionnaires were prepared in order to conduct the empirical part. The first questionnaire was given to the top management of each charity organization, the second one was given to the donors, and the third was given to the beneficiaries.
